We've partnered with the Clif Family Winery (yep, the folks behind Clif Bar) to bring you a set of three spiced honey spreads.

The honey is called "solar grown" because it comes from beehives placed under the solar panels of a solar farm in Iowa.

Solar farms cover land that can be used to grow pollinator-friendly habitats. The bees help develop these flowering landscapes that provide nesting habitats and diverse food sources for wild bees, butterflies and other wildlife.

This delicious honey is blended with our single origin spices to create a creamy spread. We suggest stirring into hot tea, spreading onto a slice of toast, using a glaze for sweet potatoes, or just licking off the spoon.

Royal Cinnamon: The notes of bright, buttery heat from our Royal Cinnamon just the right amount of complex flavor to make this spread the perfect addition to your morning toast or a companion to a hard rind cheese.

Buffalo Ginger: Buffalo Ginger delivers light floral and fruity notes with a zesty punch to make a beautifully sweet and zingy honey spread. Stir into a cup of herbal tea or use as a glaze for roasted vegetables.

Morogoro Cacao: Two simple ingredients come together to create a rich and decadent spread that highlights the complex flavors of cacao balanced with a light touch of sweetness from the honey. Spread on toast with a sprinkle of sea salt or drizzle on vanilla ice cream.

  • Origin: Forest City, Iowa
  • Process: Honey is gathered from hives, then combined with spices
  • Ingredients: Honey, spices
Do not give honey to infants under 1 year.

This Solar Grown honey is harvested from hives located on pollinator-friendly solar farms. Planting pollinator-friendly habitat under these solar farms, along with the beehives, helps control stormwater, improves the soil, provides diverse food sources and nesting habitat for the surrounding wildlife.

The Forest City solar array is one of the first pollinator-friendly solar farms in the region and part of an exciting national trend.

      Ginger Honey Spread

This was absolutely delicious--I love the B&B ginger in with the honey. My only issue is that the small bottle disappeared too quickly!
