Get your hands on our most snackable collaboration yet: Spiced Nuts from our friends at Emma’s Torch!
Each tin holds a blend of cashews, pecans and almonds roasted with 9 different Burlap & Barrel spices, including Turkish Oregano Buds, Smoked Pimenton Paprika, Royal Cinnamon and a touch of Cobanero Chili.
This tin of spiced nuts was created in collaboration with Emma’s Torch, a non-profit restaurant and catering company in Brooklyn, NY, that provides culinary education and job placement for refugees and asylum seekers.
We've been donating spices to the restaurant since they opened, and when the restaurant temporarily closed its doors earlier this year, we wanted to find a new way to work together.
This collaboration was born as a way to help keep their programs running and continue to support their students and graduates. 100% of our profits from the sales of these spiced nuts go directly to Emma's Torch to support their ongoing programming and operations.
Check out this delicious collaboration while it's here! Each tin was prepared by hand in small batches by Emma’s Torch students.

ABOUT EMMA'S TORCH
Emma’s Torch is a non-profit social enterprise that provides culinary training and job placement services to refugees, asylees, and survivors of human trafficking. They have a restaurant, cafe, and catering business where our students learn vital on the job skills and begin to chart new career paths in their new community.
For refugees coming to America, one of the hardest parts of the transition can be finding a new job. A job is important for more than just a paycheck. It is a chance to meet new people, practice language skills, and find a sense of fulfillment and self-worth after what can be a jarring and disorienting move.
Emma's Torch provides refugees & asylum seekers with culinary training, ESL classes and interview preparation. They set them up for successful employment in an industry in which their cultural heritage and cuisine can be celebrated. What’s more, they provide a community in which the participants can build supportive relationships.

Tasty good nuts for munching!
I love these nuts, just the right amount of spice, smoke and some sweet!
Loved these spiced nuts (thankfully I ordered two tins!) Inspiring me to make my own.
These were so tasty and delicious.
OMG, shortly after they were opened - they all disappeared - everyone looked pleased & were licking their lips but no one admitted anything•••
