Our Flowering Hyssop Thyme has a beautiful floral, herbaceous flavor and aroma. It has an ancient history of culinary and medicinal usage in Turkey, where it is the primary ingredient in za'atar. Use it in place of regular thyme with roasted chicken, grilled vegetables and tomato sauces.

Hyssop Thyme
Freshest thyme I have ever used!

Very Fragrant
This thyme is more fragrant than the average grocery store one. I love it. I put it on most things. There's a noticeable difference when I use Burlap & Barrel compared to the average store bought stuff. Nice "secret" ingredient when you share a recipe. They'll never understand why theirs isn't as amazing.

Floral yet complex
It's so good, I really need to branch out from using it in the Oaxacan Old Fashioned with Cacao Spiced Sryup recipe from the B&B and Bittercube cocktail spice pack recipe booklet (included in a B&B subscription box)

Wonderful
Just amazing ! Flavor very fresh and adds great taste to my cooking!

Changed my mind about thyme!
I’ve never used much dried thyme in my cooking because I didn’t see it as very potent or flavorful…this changed my mind! It packs so much more punch than the dried thyme I have used in the past, and most of the time I’ll use this before I even reach for the fresh stuff from my garden! A wonderful staple!
