*Good Food Award Winner!*

We've partnered with the Clif Family Winery (the organic, sustainable Napa valley winery from folks behind Clif Bar) to bring you this Solar Grown Honey collaboration: Cobanero Chili Hot Honey. It was a 2022 Good Food Award winner for Best Honey!

The honey is gathered from hives placed on a solar farm that offsets the energy use of Clif Bar bakery and then combined with our Cobanero Chili Flakes. It's left to infuse for 2 weeks in a room that's heated to 95°F, the same internal temperature of the beehive, before the chili flakes are strained out.

The result is a beautifully balanced, spicy-sweet honey that belongs on cheese plates and slices of pizza, as a glaze for salmon or baked sweet potatoes, or on chicken wings and buffalo cauliflower, just to name a few!

We did rounds and rounds of testing (life is hard sometimes) to nail down the perfect balance of fruity heat with the natural sweetness of the raw honey, and we're so excited to share this collaboration with you.

ABOUT CLIF FAMILY

Clif Family's honey is called "solar grown" because it comes from a solar farm in Iowa. Since there's plenty of space under and around the solar panels, the Clif Family added pollinator-friendly plants and beehives to the land.

The bees help develop these flowering landscapes that provide nesting habitats and diverse food sources for wild bees, butterflies and other wildlife.

Planting pollinator-friendly habitat under these solar farms, along with the beehives, helps control storm water, improves the soil and provides diverse food sources and nesting habitat for the surrounding wildlife.
