I have to confess I wasn’t sure about signing up for the spice club. Would I get spices I already had? I was pleasantly surprised. Nothing I had, and all wonderful. I made the Summertime Grill Rub, used it on a chicken dish (shown) and my guests were blown away. We also got a partner’s bitters - which we really use and really love. Nice to go outside your comfort zone.

I have thoroughly enjoyed cooking with all the spices included in the first box and my family has enjoyed eating the meals! I was initially nervous about the Sun-dried tomato powder and bay leave powder, since I predominantly cook Indian food, but was able to quickly adapt them into our meals. The autumn spiced almond butter was delicious and the accompanied brownie recipe made a perfect Diwali treat! Looking forward to the next one!
