Easy Cinnamon Rolls
Soft, fluffy and delicious cinnamon rolls with a healthy twist.
3 Tbsp butter*
1 cup of milk of your choice
1 packet instant yeast
1 Tbsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
3 cups of all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp butter*
¼ c sugar
1 Tbsp Royal Cinnamon
½ C confectioner’s sugar
1 Tbsp milk of your choice
To make the dough, heat butter and milk in medium saucepan until it reaches 110 degrees F. Transfer to large mixing bowl and sprinkle yeast evenly over. Let activate for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
Stir in sugar and salt. Add flour ½ cup at a time until it forms a ball. Remove ball and coat bowl with Olive Oil. Place ball back in bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Turn off oven and place bowl in there for 1 hour, until dough has doubled in size.
To make the filling, melt butter and add sugar and Burlap & Barrel Royal Cinnamon. Roll out doll onto floured cutting board to 9”x13”. Spread filling over dough and roll dough on the long side until it forms a log.
Cut log using dental floss – slipping the floss under dough and cutting it by making an X (like you’re starting to tie shoelaces) into 1” pieces. Place each piece in a greased 8”x8” pan and cover with plastic wrap.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place pan on top of stove as oven preheats. When oven is heated, remove plastic wrap and bake for 25 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes. Mix Confectioner’s Sugar and Milk and drizzle on. Enjoy warm!
