Our woodland honeys, made in partnership with Dr. Jane Goodall and The Jane Goodall Institute, are raw, unfiltered and sustainably harvested from the woodlands of Western Tanzania. The woodland honeys’ flavors reflect the incredible biodiversity of the region – they contain nectar from over 30 different species of flowering plants! The honeys have extraordinarily rich flavors that reflect their provenance in the Miombo woodlands of Tanzania, where Dr. Jane Goodall started her trailblazing research of Gombe National Park’s chimpanzees.

SOURCING
We are so proud to partner with The Jane Goodall Institute on this honey project to support their work to protect chimpanzee habitats and generate sustainable income for local communities. JGI is a global, community-led conservation organization founded in 1977 that advances the vision and work of Dr. Jane Goodall in 25 chapters around the world. They aim to understand and protect chimpanzees, other apes and their habitats, and empower people to be compassionate citizens in order to inspire conservation of the natural world we all share.
A portion of the retail price (5%) of each jar sold goes towards JGI's work in Western Tanzania, helping to conserve critical habitats and contribute to a greener, more hopeful world by creating lasting benefits for local communities and the ecosystems they depend on. This partnership is a step forward in creating a sustainable future for people, wildlife, and the environment.
