"Hibiscus takes the place of lemon juice and lends a beautiful color to this puckery-sweet crisp."

Fruit Crisp with Hibiscus Powder

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fruit of your choice, cut into bite-sized pieces (I love red berries here, but use whatever you have)

  • 1 Tbsp Rainy Season Hibiscus Powder

  • 5 Tbsp butter or fat of choice, cut into small pieces

  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar or sugar of choice

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup flour

  • ¼ tsp salt

Directions

  1. Combine fruit with hibiscus powder and 1 Tbsp sugar in a large bowl.

  2. In a medium bowl or food processor, combine butter, flour, oats, remaining sugar and salt.

  3. Spread fruit mixture in a buttered 9x9 baking dish and cover with the topping.

  4. Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbling.
