Five Spice Chicken Wings

Ingredients

1.5 lb chicken wings

2 tsp Five Spice blend
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp freshly ground peppercorns

1 tsp ginger powder
-
Β½ tsp salt or more to taste

Β½ tsp soy sauce or more to taste (optional)

Β½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
Rinse wings in cold water, drain and pat dry.
Mix wings with all ingredients and marinate overnight.
Spread in a single layer directly on the oven rack with a tray beneath to catch any drippings.
Bake at 325Β°F in a convection oven for 15β20 minutes, then turn and bake for another 15β20 minutes or longer until done. It should be golden brown and crisp.
Drizzle with optional wing sauce (see recipe note below).
Recipe Note
Drizzle with optional sauce, heat together:
- 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp fresh orange juice or Β½ tsp lime/lemon juice
- 1 clove grated garlic, Β½ tsp freshly grated ginger and cilantro pounded fine and mixed with oyster sauce
- Dash of hot sauce
