Köfte Baharat & Coffee Steak Rub

Ingredients
1.5-2 lbs steak or protein of choice, about 1" thick

2 Tbsp Köfte Baharat
1.5 Tbsp ground coffee
1.5 Tbsp brown sugar
Kosher salt

Ground black pepper (optional)
Oil of choice

Salina Crystal Salt, to taste at finish (optional)
Directions
Mix Köfte Baharat, coffee and brown sugar in a small bowl.
Preheat oven to 425°.
Season steaks with salt (& ground black pepper if you want a little extra spiciness) and pat with spice rub. You will have some spice rub leftover. Let steaks stand at room temperature, about 15-30 minutes.
Heat oil in a cast iron skillet to high heat. Once pan is hot, cook the steaks for about 1 minute on each side to create a nice crust, being careful not to burn. Then, transfer to oven until desired doneness.
Let steak rest about 5-10 minutes. Finish with Salina Crystal Salt, if desired. Slice and enjoy.
