"Don't skimp on the oil here or your fries won't be crispy!"
Ingredients
-
4 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
-
3 large russet potatoes, cleaned and cut into ⅔”-thick wedges
-
1 tsp salt
-
2 tsp white vinegar
-
2 Tbsp Umami Steak Seasoning
-
Ketchup and mayo, for serving
Directions
Place potato wedges, salt and vinegar in a large pot of boiling water. Bring to a boil and cook on medium heat until just knife-tender, about 8 minutes. Drain potatoes and transfer to a large bowl.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°. Gently toss potato wedges with steak seasoning and oil until evenly coated. Spread potatoes into an even layer on a sheet tray, making sure to transfer all the oil onto the sheet tray.
Bake until deeply golden and edges are crisp, flipping the fries halfway through, 35 to 40 minutes. Enjoy while fresh!
