SOURCING
We work directly with small vanilla producers in Papantla, Mexico, to source this extraordinary vanilla.
This vanilla is named for the indigenous Totonac, who discovered and cultivated vanilla vines in Papantla. They traditionally used vanilla as a perfume.
Our partners do all the pollinating and harvesting by hand and with great care. Papantla is well known for its vanilla, and our partner supplier there reminds us that it's known as "The city that perfumes the world!"
