As Seen on Shark Tank

When we appeared on Shark Tank, we were there to tell our story and share our values. What happened next helped us grow on our own terms.

In April, we introduced Burlap & Barrel to millions of viewers and the Sharks on national TV, with Gwyneth Paltrow joining as a guest judge. While we didn’t walk away with a deal, what we got was something even more meaningful: exposure to a huge new audience who cared deeply about flavor, equitable sourcing and where their food comes from, plus an outpouring of support from our longtime customers who showed up for us in a big way.

To this day, we’re still an entirely bootstrapped company. That means we get to grow thoughtfully, stay independent and keep building direct, long-term partnerships with our farmer partners around the world. The spices you see here are the same ones that wowed the Sharks, and they represent what we’ve believed in from the beginning: incredible flavor, fair pay for farmers and growth that puts people first.
