Created in collaboration with the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen, Zingy Cumin Tadka Blend is built around one simple idea: a little hot fat can unlock a lot of flavor. Inspired by South Asian tadka traditions, this blend is designed to be bloomed — briefly sizzled in oil or ghee — to release its full aromatic potential.

This blend starts with earthy cumin and citrusy coriander, then layers in a triple hit of zing from wild hing, black peppercorns and Cobanero chili flakes. When it hits hot oil or ghee, it sputters and hisses, releasing bold aroma, savory depth and gentle heat with plenty of texture.

To use, sizzle 1 tablespoon of the blend in 4 tablespoons of hot oil or ghee until fragrant, then spoon it straight over soups, roasted vegetables, yogurt, cottage cheese, rice or any protein. It’s fast, dramatic and deeply rewarding cooking — the kind that makes a simple dish feel finished.
