Developed in collaboration with Honeysuckle Provisions, Two Elders Creole Seasoning reflects the layered history of Creole cooking. Born from the blending of cultures, these flavors trace back to New Orleans kitchens, where pepper-forward spice blends form the backbone of countless dishes.
This seasoning draws inspiration from classic Creole flavor bases, designed to work alongside the holy trinity of celery, bell pepper and onion. Savory, aromatic and deeply grounding, it’s built to create structure and depth.
Use Two Elders Creole Seasoning as a flavor base for soups and stews, or work it into marinades for fried chicken or fish. It’s equally at home seasoning vegetables, beans or rice dishes.
Honeysuckle Trio:
-
"Born from a blending of several cultures, the flavors in this seasoning come from the sweet pepper-based blends of New Orleans Creole cooking, where they are paired with holy trinity (celery, bell pepper, onion), used similarly to mirepoix in French cooking. Use as a flavor base for soups and stews, fried chicken or fish marinades." -Omar & Cybille- Build flavor in soups, gumbos or stews
- Season chicken or fish before frying
- Stir into vegetables or beans as they cook

"Nostalgia: the warm, inviting smells of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves take us back to our mothers', aunts and grandmothers' couches, and scarfing down dinner to get to a piece of pie. It reminds us of celebrations of life and the protective care of our ancestors. We love it on roasted squash, in savory soups and for beef neck and oxtail." -Omar & Cybille- Bake into sweet potato pie, cakes or quick breads
- Season roasted squash or root vegetables
- Add to soups or slow-braised meats for warmth
-
"This dynamic blend evokes kanaval/camival in the Caribbean islands, a sense of home to Ghanians when they drink bissap, and Red Drink in Texas-rooted Juneteenth celebrations. Hibiscus is the connection for every child of the African diaspora. Serve the drink hot or cold, with white rum or on its own." -Omar & Cybille- Stir into hot or iced water for hibiscus tea
- Use in cocktails or with rum for celebratory drinks
- Sprinkle over fruit or use in glazes and baking
