Our Gochugaru comes from Andong, South Korea, one of the countryβs most respected chili-growing regions. In Korea, the government oversees the collection, grading, drying and grinding of chili flakes to ensure quality and consistency across the market.
We purchase the highest grade available, made exclusively from chilis grown on small farms in the Andong region. Many of these farms are run by older-generation growers who have cultivated peppers for decades. We select premium-grade flakes that meet strict quality standards for freshness, color and flavor.
