Our Provençal Basil is a classic expression of this beloved herb. It's grown in the limestone-rich soil of Provence, France, where the terroir and careful farming practices of our partner farm cooperative make for a basil better than any other we've tasted. Use in pasta sauces, tomato salads, sprinkled over fresh cheese, or anywhere you'd use fresh basil.

Our French herbs are truly incredible because of the farmers who grow them — pictured here are Florence and Maxime, in a sunflower field at the farm in Provence. They work with a cooperative of smallholder farmers in Provence who cultivate heirloom herbs with specific terroir.
The farmers in the cooperative grow this exceptional basil, as well as savory, thyme, oregano and rosemary. These latter four herbs make up our classic Herbes de Provence origin blend.
When we visited the farms in 2022, we were bowled over by the freshness of the dried herbs. The quality of the herbs and the drying process they use means that the herbs are miles fresher-tasting than anything you've ever had before!
